After almost three and a half years of deliveries, ARES have completed our last oversized delivery for the West Gate Tunnel Project (WGTP) in Melbourne for our customer CPB-John Holland JV.
Bright yellow ARES trucks have been bringing massive precast concrete components down the Hume Hwy from Benalla almost non-stop in the past few years, with the components used for the new elevated road over Footscray Road, as well as new ramps, bridges and flyovers at various points on the project.
In total, ARES delivered almost 2,000 oversize overmass (OSOM) components for the project, including 1,400 matchcast segments, 200 bridge planks, 120 Super Tee beams and 160 bridge pier components (crossheads, capitals and columns).
