Ares Project Services have been awarded the transport scope for precast concrete for the Westgate Tunnel Project (WGTP) in Melbourne by CPB John Holland Joint Venture (CPBJH JV).
The scope consists of a variety of precast concrete bridge components destined for the elevated road sections of the project. These include crossheads weighing up to 150T, beams up to 32m long and almost 2000 matchcast segments. Components will need to be transported from the manufacturing facility in Benalla to the project site in and around Footscray Rd – a journey of over 250km each way.
Transport will take place over a 2 year period from late 2021 to 2023. We look forward to working with CPBJH JV on this exciting project!
