There were emotional scenes at Queensland Raceway as Matt Slavin took out his first ever race win as well as the overall round win in the Ares Group Porsche 911 GT3.
In a chaotic Race 1 in Ipswich, after starting third in class, Slavin took advantage of some late race incidents to take the chequered flag in first place in the Pro Am category. Only in his first full season in the Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge, Slavin was ecstatic to pick up a win so early on in his racing career.

Slavin picked up another podium in Race 2, and 4th in Race 3 was enough to take out the overall round win in Queensland ahead of his rivals – another milestone.
