ARES was proud to support the delivery of a 175-tonne main transformer for the Boulder Creek Wind Farm in Central Queensland, working alongside AAW Global Logistics (Australia).

As part of this renewable energy project, ARES provided the route survey, transport planning, heavy haulage and offload solution required to safely move the transformer from origin to site.

Before transport commenced, our team carried out detailed route surveys and assessments to identify potential constraints, verify access requirements and develop the most efficient transport methodology. Early planning is critical when delivering oversized and high-value assets, helping minimise risk and ensure a smooth delivery process.

With careful coordination and specialist project logistics expertise, the transformer was successfully transported and positioned on site ready for installation.

Wind farm developments rely on the safe and efficient movement of critical infrastructure, and projects like Boulder Creek demonstrate the value of experienced heavy haulage and renewable energy logistics partners. From route surveys and transport engineering through to final offload, every stage was planned to support a safe and successful outcome.

ARES continues to support renewable energy projects across Australia, delivering specialised transport and project logistics solutions for wind farm components, transformers and other critical infrastructure.
